The redesign of a private garden to the rear of a Teulon designed house. The garden is used as the primary access to the main living accommodation, but needed to feel like a garden rather than a entrance. Stone created a boundary edge between the garden level and the falling site down to some public allotments. This stone edge was then symbolically broken to provide new steps, a curved entrance path, a pool, terrace area and herb garden.
Lawn and a mix of native shrub, fern and perennial planting ties the garden into the surrounding setting.
